The 3MT celebrates the discoveries made by research students: it encourages you to communicate the importance of your research to the broader community by talking about your PhD project in an informative and audience-oriented way.
If you are enrolled in your second or third year of doctoral programmes you are eligible to participate.
1st Round at Unibo
The competition will take place on 23 February 2023 at 4.00 PM. The event will be held in person at the University premises, if conditions related to the Covid emergency allow. We will provide further updates in January.
A jury supported by the voting audience will select the three best presentations among 14 finalists.
2nd Round
The video of the winning presentation will be sent to an independent Coimbra Group jury. This jury nominates three contestants for the international Coimbra Group Three-Minute-Thesis Competition Finalthat will take place on 31 May - 2 June 2023 at the University of Cologne.
