Laboratory for the Survey of Architecture and the City

The aim of the LaRAC Laboratory (Laboratory for the Survey of Architecture and the City) is to activate procedures and applications aimed at the survey and rendering of urban areas or architectural and monumental complexes; to develop integrated procedures for survey techniques, computerised representation of architecture and the processing of digital models; to provide support for the teaching activities of the degree courses offered by the DA and the PhD programme in Architecture and Design Cultures, for the research work of lecturers, and activities promoted by the DA within the context of the third mission.

Activity performed

The fields of investigation include the survey of monuments, urban surveying, the creation and development of procedures for the processing of non-metric frames, the processing of digital models from laser scanner surveys and digital photogrammetry.
