International dimension

The Department of Architecture actively endeavours to establish networks with universities in countries around the world, with a view to promoting international collaboration in research and education. In line with the policies of the University of Bologna, the DA offers international mobility opportunities to its students and lecturers, welcomes foreign students, PhD students and researchers, is a partner in sector agreements with international universities and research organisations, and participates in joint research projects and programmes.

I joined the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Bologna in 2001 and later I enrolled in the PhD program at the Department of Architecture. I could witness firsthand how the Italian educational system, despite all its limitations, is still able to prepare architects to perform intellectually and professionally at the international level
