I progetti di conservazione/restauro hanno il fine di preservare il patrimonio storico-culturale e architettonico, per poterlo tramandare alle generazioni future. I lavori di restauro richiedono specifiche capacità professionali; il fatto di doversi affidare a soggetti che non possiedono queste competenze e non hanno collezionato esperienze in questo campo, rappresenta una grave minaccia per la conservazione del Patrimonio. I lavori di restauro architettonico rientrano da normativa nel settore edile e sono guidati da professionisti. Ciononostante, ai lavoratori che operano nel campo del restauro, mancano generalmente le conoscenze necessarie su come intervenire su beni di valore storico-culturale e architettonico. Questo progetto è volto a colmare tali lacune, con il fine di migliorare la qualità degli interventi di restauro sul patrimonio architettonico, contribuendo così alla conservazione preventiva del patrimonio storico-culturale e architettonico in Europa. La categoria target del progetto sono gli artigiani che attuano le opere di conservazione e restauro sul Patrimonio architettonico. Dunque, il target del progetto RE-VET è, nello specifico, il livello 4 del Quadro Europeo delle Qualifiche (EQF – European Qualification Framework).
Conservation / Restoration projects aim to preserve the authentic cultural properties of architectural heritage in order to hand these cultural assets down to future generations. Restoration works require special professional skills and trusting incompetent and inexperienced people with the implementation of detailed and intricate works of delicate cultural heritage is a major threat to the authentic properties of the cultural assets. The architectural restoration works are regarded as a part of the construction industry according to the legislation and they are led by professionals. However, workers in restorations generally lack the required skills and knowledge on how to treat historic buildings. Our project aims at contributing to the skills of these workers in order to increase the quality in restoration works of architectural heritage thus contributing to the preservation of cultural heritage in Europe. The target group of the project is the craftspeople who implement the works in the conservation and restoration of architectural heritage. Therefore, European Qualification Framework level 4 is selected as the target group of the RE-VET project.
