Project code: 20228JHK5L_001
Programme: PRIN
Call: 2022
The aim of the project is to define a strategy useful for obtaining knowledge of the micro-environmental conditions of that part of the historical-artistic-architectural heritage located outside the main tourist circuits, i.e. isolated localities. This increase in knowledge must lead to the development of indicators of vulnerability and risk, in correlation with climatic and microclimatic factors, in a now established perspective of climate change.
The risk indicators relating to the historic building should take into account the interaction between the building, the contents and the environment, between the indoor microclimate and the outdoor climate. The ultimate aim is to allow the adoption of measures capable of mitigating the factors of degradation caused by the environment, thus minimising the need for restoration interventions, in line with Giovanni Urbani's vision.
The achievement of these objectives is made possible by technological advances and the ability not only to monitor the micro-environmental conditions in which the heritage is located, but also to transmit remotely sensed data in real time and to process them semi-automatically, verifying the situation in relation to risk indices once defined.
