KNOW.it emerges as an innovative research project to recover, enhance, and disseminate the rich Italian architectural heritage dispersed worldwide.
Driven by a growing need and supported by significant European investments, KNOW.it aims to create a digital collection of 3D models of Italian buildings abroad.
Through digitization, KNOW.it seeks to overcome the limitations of physical distance and accessibility, making this heritage accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world.
Going beyond, the project aims to create a truly immersive experience, recreating the original context of the buildings and conveying their historical and cultural value.
The Brazilian cities of Jaú and Sao Carlos, with their significant presence of Italian architecture, will serve as the first case studies. However, KNOW.it aspires to expand, creating a virtual network that connects Italy to its architectural traces scattered across the globe.
An innovative methodology will guide the creation of the digital collection, ensuring scientific rigor and adaptability to different contexts.
The 3D models will be accompanied by a rich multimedia platform and an original communication strategy that leverages social networks to reach a wide audience.
KNOW.it is not just a digitization project; it is an opportunity to rediscover history, culture, and Italian identity through its architectural heritage spread worldwide.
A virtual bridge between past, present, and future to enhance Italian roots and project them towards a tomorrow of knowledge and sharing.
